Premarital sex — why are Christians so strongly against it? Premarital sex involves any kind of sexual contact prior to entering into a legal marriage relationship. There are a number of reasons why Scripture and traditional Christianity oppose this. God designed sex to be enjoyed within a committed marital relationship of one man and one woman. To remove it from that context is to pervert its use and severely limit its enjoyment. Sexual contact involves a level of intimacy not experienced in any other human relationship. Paul elaborates on the idea in 1 Corinthians 6: There is a level of vulnerability one experiences in a sexual relationship that should only occur within a committed, trusting, marital union. There are, in general, two contexts for premarital sex.

Dating My Ex-Husband. Divorced. Reunited. Remarried. Menu and widgets. There is a huge mystery to marriage. It is not like all other relationships. It was the first relationship between humans on earth. The most astounding thing about marriage is that it is all based on a promise. What to Expect after God Restores your Marriage.
I believed marriage was a bed of roses where I would meet my perfect prince charming who would sweep me off my feet and take me to a land flowing with romantic walks in the park and breakfast in bed every single day. I always fantasized about the day I get married and walk down the aisle, my mind would go wandering onto the honeymoon night and time spent away and never onto the actual marriage after all the wedding festivities are over.
I never thought of all the constant hard work, attention and sacrifice that marriage requires. I remember the first two years of courtship with my boyfriend, my head was in the clouds. I was forever talking about the day we get married and all the fun we will have in planning and starting a life together. I had my own idea of how a relationship ought to work and he had his own idea of how things should go.
My idea of relationship was centred around holding hands and walking through the park on hot summer days, cuddling on the couch and watching a chick flick on cold winter days, being picked up from work and surprised with a large bouquet of roses often and my list could go on. That really confused me and I will share with you why, later He was keen to read letters to young lovers and adventist home and I was keen to watch love and basketball and listen to Luther Vandross songs.
We were on two different planets and my head was definitely in the clouds. I remember the first few months we started talking we texted each other constantly from morning till sunset.

When it comes to the brokenness seen in many toxic relationships, including a chaotic marriage, the road to freedom and restoration is often a process. Here are four prescriptive steps that may offer some guidance, especially if you find yourself at the threshold of change… ready and hopeful that God has a better plan for the future.
Step 1 — Recognize and Admit: I recognize and admit that I have a problem. In fact, I may be the problem. What do I need to do differently? Honest reflection is critical if you are to break through the fear and shame and take personal responsibility for what needs to be done. In 1 John 1: Only then, do we see things for what they really are. The same is true when it comes to our relationships. Step 2 — Clean Out the Infection: Otherwise, sinful and destructive patterns will continue to have a negative impact on your life.

And that can come from even divorced couples or divorced Pastors. The Church will even try to deny them of continuing in their God-given calling even after they have repented and God himself probably have forgiven them. Or the fact that God hates divorce means He hates the people involved too just like that? Every Christian sins whether we like it or not; Pastors, Shepherds, Prophets, Ministers, what have you, all sin!

Ask Dennis Living Waters – Asia Comments This is a question thrown by people who would like to sway others to believe that there is no God. This question is the relative of the question, “If there is a loving God, then why are there so many evil in this world. He knows what will happen for all of eternity.
The things that man know are not even a tip of a nail compared to what God knows. He even knows what will happen to you a minute from now which you don’t have an idea of. That established, atheists and agnostics would argue that God, if He does exists, with His omniscience, should have decided NOT to give man free will because He knows that they’ll just use it to rebel against Him which will result to them going to Hell to pay for their sins.
If He does exists then He must enjoy seeing people go to Hell? First of all, the Bible makes it clear that God has no pleasure in seeing sinners die which lead them to eternal punishment Ezekiel He created man for His glory and for His pleasure Revelations 4:
The God that Restores: Broken Walls and Broken People
And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.

Trusting God With Relationships, Part 1
By Lesli White Shutterstock. We may vigilantly seek God, but in return only sense His silence. And this silence can be frustrating, disheartening, even agonizing. There are times when we will seek God for answers, cry out for His help and relief and still hear nothing. But as easy as it is for us to speak to Him, most Christians have a hard time listening to God and hearing His voice.
This is not the way God intended it to be.
‘God restores’ and ‘Christian marriages shouldn’t fail’, were the standard replies I got. Through the years of heartache, God had become my closest friend and He took me on a journey of discovery.

A story of relationships At its core, the Bible offers wisdom for relationships and life. Through narratives, historical records, letters, poetry, and songs, the Bible offers guidance on how we can relate to ourselves, to others, and to God.
Ultimately the Bible tells the story of God pursuing a relationship with people. It is a story of God working to restore a broken relationship between himself and humanity. Creation of relationship In the beginning, God created the planet and populated it with life. He decided to place something of His own self into this world, so He made human beings in His own image and breathed His own breath into them, giving them life. He created people to live in close relationship with Himself — a relationship that brings true, satisfying, lasting life.
Breaking of relationship But these first humans, being free to love, broke the relationship when they chose to turn away from God — they chose instead to live independently of God, trying to find meaningful life and relationship in their own ways. The consequence they suffered from being separated from God — the Author of life — was a physical, emotional, and spiritual death.
Their disconnection and broken relationship with God had a deteriorating effect on their sense of self, their relationship with other people, and with creation around them.
Three Ways God Makes All Things New
After overturning the money changer’s tables and cursing the fig tree, Jesus relates a parable about a man symbolizing God who planted a vineyard symbolizing Israel and Judah , turning it over to some husbandmen symbolizing the religious leaders who were responsible for the education of the nation , who later proved to be unfaithful, beating the owners servants symbolizing the prophets and killing the owner’s son symbolizing Jesus Christ. The responsibility for tending the vineyard was removed from those wicked husbandmen symbolizing the priests and Pharisees and given to new servants who would tend it faithfully, bringing about quality fruit replacing physical Israel with the Israel of God- or the Church.
If the Church fails in its responsibility, God will take it away again and give it to someone who will bring forth fruit. When God gives us a responsibility, He gives us all the tools we need to carry it out as well as the freedom to decide how best to do it. God wants to see how we do with what we have been given.
As future kings, we must learn how to solve problems.
God is an expert at mending broken hearts and broken relationships. Yet, it’s within the brokenness where He can usually be found and where He draws the closest to us. “ The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise ” (Ps. ).
Some of you are raising your hands, shaking your fists, and demanding that God be put on trial rightfully so maybe. He can do that himself if he so desires. The clearest picture I have of who God is, is in Jesus. My belief is that when I see Jesus I am seeing God. Therefore if I want to know how God feels about sickness I look at Jesus.
If I want to know what God thinks about humanity I look at Jesus.
